Thought No. 78 – Welcome to the Site
This site went live on June 14, 2017. I wrote this on july 2 2017 and I thought it would be helpful to republish this as a thought so new people would see what EBB was all about. I started the Experience the Big Book meeting in September 2008. See my story podcast June 2018 and introduction to the site for more information on why I started this type of meeting. These are directed, detailed studies of the Big Book’s first 164 pages. I have done around 1500 of these meetings. Members had asked me to record so they would be available to listen or to share with others. I started to record in February 2017 and we have two very talented members who put together this site. There will be three podcasts each week, and I have written “Thoughts on Recovery” covering the steps in detail and other topics as well. You will notice that each meeting covers a different part of the text. For instance, tonight at the Sunday meeting, we will be finishing the “Chapter to the Agnostics”. Yesterday, at the Saturday meeting, we covered “To Wives”. I do not have a prepared script so, each meeting, even when on the same material, will have different insights. Our basic text is a spiritual book and more is always being revealed. The podcasts are usually around 30 minutes. I would appreciate any comments, either on the site or on the Facebook page. If you find this site helpful, please share with your AA friends. I welcome contact or any questions, thoughts, ideas, or suggestions. I hope you find this site helpful in your spiritual journey.
Thank you Mike. I have began this journey recently. I ran into your podcasts and this site. It is helping me so much. So grateful.
“ThankYou” seems pretty shallow for what EtBB has done to me. Somewhere I heard that for every alcoholic that recovers, ten or more lives are effected in a positive way! You (we) will never know the true impact of this Ministry. Thank you for the time and effort you have given to me.
Your friend,
